ACOG hasn't released a practice bulletin specifically on big babies since the year 2000. In their new bulletin, they concluded that methods to predict big babies are “imprecise,” and that “suspected fetal macrosomia is not an indication for induction of labor because induction does not improve maternal or fetal outcomes.”
